Others
There are many different kinds of helmets in the world today and to a certain extent the fact that there are so many different kinds of helmets is a testament to the other fact that so many different cultures have needed to express themselves. There are many different cultures that have used helmets in the past either for war or for decoration and because of that there are many different helmets that history recounts as being from a specific era or used by a specific person. To that end, here is an interesting look at some other helmets that you might not hear about all of the time; the others, so to speak. Indian Helmets Indian helmets are generally the helmets that hail from the Indian subcontinent. These can be helmets that were either used at some point in war or alternatively were used at some point in peace. The point about Indian helmets is that they are usually very old because the Indian civilization itself is thousands of years older than any of the European or North American civilizations. They have had the extra time to build up that extra history and the helmets of the Kings and Warlords comes from that time. These helmets are others that people don’t really think about that much and like so many others they definitely are worthy of inspection by people. Czar Helmets Amongst that same class of others is the class of Czar Helmets. These are helmets that were used by the Russian rulers up until the 20th century when the First World War resulted in a complete caving in of the Russian monarchy and its replacement by communist powers. These are helmets that they used both in times of military battles as well as in times of peace when they wanted to look resplendent on their thrones. There are many historical records that cover these helmets and for some reason they fall more into the class of others than they do into the class of common history; strange, but true. Making An Uncommon Helmet If the two above examples suggest anything, it is primarily that uncommon helmets are ones that are not necessarily uncommon through history, but on the other hand are uncommon for sociological reasons. There are a number of different reasons for this happening, but the main cause is that people in popular society don’t really view them as mainstream and therefore they are not shown around as much. There are just as many records of helmets belonging to Indian and Russian kings as there are helmets that belong to Greeks and Romans but for some reason the latter pair enjoy more publicity than the former pair.
